Come join other Yalies at Bikes Not Bombs - a non-profit that uses bicycles as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South.
We have a fun and meaningful afternoon planned. We will be helping "strip" bikes (i.e., taking all the parts off a bike), sorting parts, "flattening" bikes (i.e., turning the handle bars sideways for shipping), and cleaning the warehouse.
All skill-levels and ages are welcome! Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear closed-toed footwear and try to wear clothes that can get dirty.
The warehouse is accessible by public transit (multiple buses stop out front; Fairmount Commuter Rail to Four Corners/Geneva) and by car. On-street parking is available.
Location: 10 Harvard Street, Dorchester (map)
