Tours at the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site

YaleBoston is proudly involved in the Yale Alumni Community Service Fellowship (YACSF).  Each summer, we host and sponsor Yale undergraduates who receive a fellowship to work at community-oriented nonprofits.  This year, we are hosting two fantastic interns:  one is working at Preservation of Affordable Housing and one is working at the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site.

If you’re a history buff, outdoor explorer, park lover, landscape architect, or curious Yalie, come join us at the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site in Brookline (map) on Saturday, August 17.  Public tours of the design office start at the top of the hour (i.e., 3 pm, 4 pm) and tours of the landscape start on the half hour (i.e., 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm).  Join us whenever you can to meet our Community Service Fellow and learn about Frederick Law Olmsted, the mastermind of Central Park, the 1893 Chicago’s World’s Fair grounds, and our very own Emerald Necklace.  Read more about Olmsted's connection to Yale in the Yale Alumni Magazine.

There is no entrance fee or charge for the tours.

Please register here to help us with headcount. As a courtesy to the site, we would like to limit our group to 25 people.

Many thanks to our donors to the Community Service Fellowship!
