Join us on Saturday, June 22 for a visit to and a picnic at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. deCordova is a wonderful venue for exhibition and interpretation of modern and contemporary outdoor sculpture. While the museum is currently closed for renovations, the Sculpture Park’s 30-acre campus acre displays approximately 60 sculptures. The museum is located at 51 Sandy Pond Road, Lincoln, MA (map).
Event Update:
A special tour: We will have a dedicated tour of the Sculpture Park! Please meet at 11 a.m. at the front door of the museum building. The tour is scheduled for one hour. Most of the terrain is fairly flat and on grass, however there will likely be some short, gentle hills and possibly shallow steps.
The ticket price is the museum entry fee. This fee is free/waived for Lincoln residents and members of the Trustees of Reservations, as well as with some reciprocal Museum memberships.
We will have our picnic at the bottom of "Linda's Lawn" between the entry booth and the cafe at noon, after the tour. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Food is also available at The Twisted Tree Café on site at the museum.
Weather update: We will send out a notice on Thursday, June 20, if it is necessary to postpone this event due to inclement weather.
